Left Over Foods for Losing Weight Fast.

Not only will eating left over food polish your wallet, guess what? It is an amazing healthy way to trim down.Researches say that every year, we throw out eight billion dollars worth of food. Unbelievable! That is a lesson for another day, today we will focus on reasons why eating left overs is in vogue for weight loss. Let's start with:



Power House Potatoes: When you leave potatoes to cool. they become an excellent source of resistant starch. This is fermented in the large intestine and gets changed into the short fatty acids that promote a healthy bowel - and healthy gut bacteria is closely linked to good immune function. Resistant starch is helpful to diabetics because it has an ability to improve insulin sensitivity.
WHAT TO DO:
Don't reheat left over potatoes, eat them cold in a salad. Excess  kilo lowering properties trimmed off  instantly. Awesomeness!

Preppy Pasta and Pasta Sauce:
Eating cold pasta is the same as eating cold potatoes, remember all the goodness that comes from eating cooled potatoes? Your sugar levels will only rise half as much when you eat cold pasta compared to when its hot. This is great because it is a way to minimize your risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Pasta sauce on the other hand is full of tomatoes which when cooked and exposed to heat a second time has Lycopene. This is restructured in a way that makes it easier to absorb. People with high levels of Lycopene are 55 percent less likely to develop a stroke, this is because Lycopene reduces inflammation and blood clot risk which play a major role in stroke risk.
WHAT TO DO:
Choose whole grain pasta for its added benefit. also toss it into a salad. For the pasta sauce add some olive oil when you reheat, the oil in combination with the heat is what alters the shape of the Lycopene for added benefit.


Rejuvenating Rice:
Rice that has been boiled with a little oil and then cooled, when eaten helps you to absorb 50 percent less of of its kilo-joules. The combination of the rice and the cooling process changes the structure of the rice's starch, making it more resistant to the body's digestive enzymes.
WHAT TO DO:
Cook the rice with a teaspoon of coconut oil per half cup of rice and refrigerate it for at least 12 hours, the awesome thing is you don't have to eat it cold because reheating it will not alter the kilo reducing properties.

STORE: As soon as the food has stopped steaming. 
REHEAT: Until they are hot right though and don't cool down to restore in the fridge more than once.
